What is maderia flag?

The Madeira flag is composed of a blue background with a white cross at the center. The cross is formed by five blue shields, each with a white five-pointed star in the middle. The blue color represents the sea, while the white represents peace and purity. The five blue shields and stars are said to symbolize the five noble houses of Madeira. The flag was adopted on July 1, 1978, after Portugal granted autonomy to the Madeira Archipelago.
